What is the Lake Shelbyville Flying Club? We are a group of aviation enthusiasts that share the costs of flying. We have student pilots just learning to fly, pilots that are time-building, and pilots that just fly for fun.
Why join the flying club? Our members enjoy the benefits of having a choice of two airplanes to fly, easy scheduling, and low hourly costs. Also, enjoy the comradery and encouragement of other aviators.
How do you join the flying club? All you need to do is to come to the meeting and fill out an application. There is a buy-in fee (contact us for the current price structure) and dues due every month that includes a monthly operations fee and flight credit.
Do you need a pilot’s license to join? No. We will be happy to guide you through the process of learning to fly and get your private pilot license.
